The fan may only be installed, set up, retrofitted, commissioned, cleaned, serviced or repaired by installers specialised in ventilation technology. Electrical connection, commissioning, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with DGUV regulation 3, Section 2 (3) and in compliance with the relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN 50110-1) and technical rules. Further provisions of other national laws must be taken into account.
Qualifications, requirements: Specialist training and knowledge of compulsory technical standards, EU Directives and EU Ordinances. The installations must be carried out professionally. Applicable accident prevention regulations, occupational health and safety measures (protective clothing in good repair etc.) must be observed. Installation work by trainees is only permitted under the supervision of the above-mentioned trained specialists.
Obligations of the installer and operating company
The fan must be regularly inspected, cleaned and maintained by a person qualified in accordance with these instructions. Cleaning and maintenance intervals should be determined by the operating company. Frequency depends on ambient conditions and anticipated impairments. Shorten the maintenance intervals in the event of dust or a corrosive atmosphere. Additional safety requirements should be observed during mounting and operation, e.g. in accordance with EN 60079-14: Design, selection and erection of electrical installations or national accident prevention regulations.
These instructions and the enclosed safety instructions must be easily accessible so that both installers and operators can refer to them quickly. It is essential that these instructions are read before any work is undertaken on the fan.
