Preparation for installation

Risk of cuts from metal housing plates with sharp edges. Use personal protective equipment (cut-resistant gloves) for installation work.

Recommendation: Lift the entire pallet, with the fan, onto the roof with a crane and set it down carefully at the installation site. If pallet transport is not possible: Attach suitable ropes/lifting gear to the motor base and carefully lower the fan to the installation site using a crane. NOTICE: The fan must not be deformed/warped during transport as this can lead to imbalance of the impeller. Observe the details in Transport, storage and the safety instructions supplement.
Mount the roof socket. NOTICE: Only use a roof socket from the Maico range that is suitable for the fan metal base and the SOFI DAD variant → www.maico-ventilatoren.com.
If necessary, install additional accessories, e.g. the MRI mounting frame, SGCI protective grille (conical), RSI duct silencer or RSKI duct silencer with baffle and VKRI R duct shutter.
