Direction of rotation and air flow direction
- Check direction of rotation and air flow direction Arrows on fan housing. Maximum flow rate at stated air flow direction according to Fig. D. If the air flow direction is reversed, the flow rate is reduced by around 35 %.
Type | Air flow direction | Direction of rotation ③ |
---|---|---|
DZQ, DZS, DZR | ① With air drawn across the DZR motor | right |
DZD | ② With air blown across the motor | left |
③ Direction of rotation of motor when facing the impeller
- To reverse air flow direction, swap external conductors L2 and L3. If the air flow direction is reversed, check the safety and function of the system again.
Note that, as a result, the following effects could take place:
- The flow rate is reduced.
- Protection against foreign bodies being drawn in may no longer be guaranteed.
- The explosive atmosphere may no longer be extracted.
- The fan is thermally designed for continuous operation (operating mode S1), i.e., it is not designed for frequent changes in direction of rotation. The fan motor may heat up impermissibly if the direction of rotation is changed frequently.
