Housing installation
NOTICE Damage to unit/functional problems in the event of rubbing impeller.
- Insert housing in wall breakthrough/wall sleeve/duct.
- Align housing horizontally, mark the two dowel holes, drill the dowel holes Ø 6 mm and insert the dowels.
NOTICE Danger of short-circuits and damage to the unit. If the power cable is incorrectly fed or if the cable grommet is not fitted correctly, water may penetrate into the fan housing. The degree of protection cannot be guaranteed.
Pierce the cable grommet so that it tightly seals the power cable. Guide the surface-mounted or flush-mounted cables correctly into the intended cable grommet.
- Carefully remove the flush-mounted or surface-mounted cable grommet from the housing, then pierce a round hole in it using a grommet puncher.
- Insert cable grommet into housing.
- Feed power cable into the terminal compartment such that the cable grommet fits around the cable sheathing completely and does not penetrate too far into the terminal compartment.
- Insert housing into wall breakthrough/wall sleeve and secure with two screws. Do not insert the housing such that it is twisted or crushed. Make sure you use mounting material which is sized for the purpose.
