Fault finding and repairs only permissible when carried out by qualified electricians.

Malfunction	Cause, measures
Fan does not switch on.	No mains voltage. Check whether the mains fuse has failed. Switch on if necessary. Check service switch. Impeller blocked. Check impeller and clean if necessary.
Motor’s thermal overload protection switches the fan off.	Motor too hot. Wait until motor and temperature limiter have cooled. Cool-down time can be up to 30 minutes. Only then switch the fan on again.
Deposits on the impeller and in the housing caused by dust in the air.	Install air filter in duct system. Never clean the interior with water or a high-pressure cleaner.
Impeller does not turn.	Switch off the fan with the service switch. Make sure that the impeller is not blocked by foreign bodies.
