Installation instructions
Install the electric air heater downstream of the fan (viewed in the air direction), otherwise the fan motor will overheat. Observe the air direction arrow on the housing.
- Installation only permitted with terminal box facing upwards or sideways. The terminal box must not face downwards.
- If the inflow velocity falls below 1.5 m/s, the electric air heater switches off automatically (= forced shutdown) to prevent the unit from overheating. The unit goes into fault mode. To avoid this, it is essential to install an LW 9 air flow monitor, which switches off the air heater at flow velocities < 1.5 m/s.
- Lay a section of duct at least 1...1.5 m long between the electric air heater and the fan to ensure optimum air flow (calming section for a perfect air flow).
- Maintain distances: Between electric air heater and duct bend/fan/air filter/shutters min. of 2 times the duct Ø, e.g. ERH 16-2 with min. Ø 320 mm. Too short of a distance can cause an uneven air flow and trigger the thermal cut-off.
- Use non-combustible materials for the insulation.
- Install a type TFE... air filter upstream of the air heater.
- The terminal box must be freely accessible. The rating plate must be clearly legible even after installation and insulation.
