Installation of roof duct sleeve
View from roof side
- The PP 45 DFHK / PP 45 DFHL roof duct sleeve should be cut to length so that the sleeve has a projection of 1 cm beyond the PP 45 DH roof cowl. Cut the roof duct sleeve, flush on the inside, to the finished size of the interior wall.
View from the inside of the building
- On the inside of the building, clamp the supplied polystyrene wedges under the roof duct sleeve so that the sleeve has a gradient of approx. 1-2 % towards the outside. This is to prevent any condensate that occurs from running inwards.
The duct should be fitted with a gradient running from the inside to the outside
Failure to do so may result in water damage.
Exercise caution when handling construction foam.
Wear protective gloves and goggles.
- Remove the roof cowl and make sure that the position of the roof duct sleeve does not change.
- Check gradient to the outside again.
- On the outside, seal the gap between the roof duct sleeve and the roof outlet duct all around with construction foam.
- On the inside, also seal the gap between the roof duct sleeve and roof outlet duct all around with construction foam.
