WS 310/410, WS 320/470, WS 170, WS 160 Flat, WS 300 Flat: Pre-requirements for the additional circuit board 1 = DIP switch of ZP 1 set to brine earth heat exchanger and activated with brine earth heat exchanger parameter.

Additional circuit board 1 can be used to control a brine earth heat exchanger with a regulated or unregulated pump. A brine earth heat exchanger with an unregulated pump can be controlled via the switching contact.

Pre-requirements for connection on switching contact: Brine earth heat exchanger is selected under `Switching contact´ parameter (→ Switching contact function). The T air inlet offset heating is needed so that when a brine earth heat exchanger and PTC heat register are present in the ventilation unit, heating is first undertaken using the heat exchanger. An electric heat register is only activated when the temperature drops further.

T air inlet hysteresis cooling relates to the T supply air min cooling parameter → T supply air min. cooling.

Conditions for cooling

Switching on brine CP

The air is cooled when all 3 conditions are met:

To prevent the circulating pump from synchronising, the temperature at the air inlet must be greater than the minimum air inlet temperature by the set amount of hysteresis.

Switching off brine CP

The air is no longer cooled if one of the following conditions is met:

● TR (room temperature) < set maximum room temperature → Room temperature adjustment

or

● T air inlet (air temperature in outside air connector) < T supply air min cooling → T supply air min. cooling

The circulating pump switches off if the temperature at the T air inlet sensor falls below the minimum T air inlet because the minimum supply air temperature T supply air min. cooling cannot be maintained.

With a regulated pump, when the switch-on temperature is reached, a defined voltage is set so that the T supply air min. cooling is reached. The temperature can then be maintained with the minimum use of energy. The pump is switched off as soon as the defined voltage falls to 0 V, as input on the control.
