Installation of soffit channel LE
- Determine installation position. Ensure mounting is on a level wall surface. Note dimensions. Allow for a 7 mm perimeter plaster edge all the way around the soffit external grille.
- Behind the flat channel there must be at least 20 mm of insulation between the flat channel and the masonry and in front of the flat channel at least 40 mm of insulation between the flat channel and the exterior wall side.
- The connecting joints and cavities must be professionally sealed to prevent secondary sound channels.
- Wall seal protects against leakages and prevents any condensate produced from getting behind the plaster.
- Formation of surface rust: External factors (e.g., air containing sulphur dioxide or salt, dust containing iron etc.) may cause surface rust to form on stainless steel. We recommend thoroughly cleaning unpainted stainless steel parts before mounting (remove dust and fingerprints) and rubbing in a little oil (e.g. care oil for stainless steel). When mounting external grilles made of stainless steel, use only stainless steel screws.
EPP soffit channel:
- The shell sleeve must protrude 20 to 25 mm beyond the external plastering, once this plastering has been applied.
- For extensions and 90° angle elements: Apply mounting adhesive all around slot on face end. Glue the soffit element with the extension or angle. Be sure to seal around the couplings, e.g., with adhesive tape. Saw off extension to desired installation dimension.
- ATTENTION: Incorrect screw connection will result in damage to the unit. If screwing directly to the wall, drill holes with a max. diameter of 8 mm, exactly in the groove. Never drill the soffit channel at any other point.
- The soffit element should not be installed in combination with façade thermal insulation with a thickness of 100 mm.
