Installation
DANGER:
- Observe the requirements at the installation site, environmental conditions and technical data of the ventilation unit.
- Avoid damage to the connection cables during installation → Danger of short-circuits due to damaged connection cables routed to the outside. Installation only by qualified electrician. Check the connection cables after installing the unit.
WARNING
- Only lift the ventilation unit with several persons, especially in case of ceiling installation. Never walk under suspended loads. For heavy units, use a lifting device/lifting equipment suitable for the total weight.
- Before removing the front cover, wait until the fans have stopped moving → Risk of injury with running fan.
- Install the ventilation unit only on walls/ceilings with sufficient load-bearing capacity (min. 600 kg/m2) and with sufficiently dimensioned mounting material → Risk of injury if the ventilation unit falls down. Mounting material is to be provided by the customer. Use sufficiently dimensioned mounting material.
- When working at heights, use suitable ladders/climbing aids and ensure that they are stable. Work in pairs and ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the unit.
- When performing working overhead, protect your eyes and respiratory tract. If necessary, use personal protective equipment (hard hat/protective goggles etc.).
- When handling components with sharp edges, wear protective gloves, e.g. for the front cover, the heat exchanger retaining strap or electronic plates.
- Switch off the ventilation unit’s power supply before opening it → Risk of injury due to unexpected or automatic start-up. The unit may start up automatically after shutting down in response to overload, clearing an impeller blockage or accidental switching-on (external control unit, APP, web server). Do not reach into the fan.
- Do not stand directly under the ventilation unit during installation and maintenance work → Risk of injury from falling components, deposits or dirt.
- Exercise caution when opening the unit or removing unit components. Always work in pairs. For ceiling installation, overhead unit openings. Covers/heat registers/heat exchangers etc. have a high net weight. These may fall down when being removed (for example, heat register may fall once retaining plates are loosened). Sometimes heat exchangers can be hard to pull out or slide in. When working overhead, wear a hard hat/protective goggles.
