Checking and cleaning condensate drain

Note the instructions for cleaning the heat exchanger and ventilation unit!

  1. Whenever working on the electrical equipment on the ventilation unit, switch off the mains fuse in the fuse box and secure it against being accidentally switched back on. Attach a warning sign in a clearly visible place.
  2. Before opening the front door, wait until the fans have stopped.
  3. Loosen the screws in the outer covers.
  4. Carefully remove cover.
  5. Wash out the condensate tank. The condensate lift pump can only be checked with the unit running. To do this, fill the condensate tank with water and check whether the pump extracts this when the unit is switched on.*

CAUTION! Risk of injury due to fans starting up. Do not reach into the fan. Ensure that the heat exchanger is not bent or damaged when pulling out.

* Only for versions with cross-counterflow heat exchanger (variant G).
