Cleaning unit
Depending on the level of contamination, we recommend:
- annual visual inspection of the heat exchanger also cleaning if required.
- annual cleaning of inside.
- annual check and cleaning of condensation run-off and the siphon.
Cleaning the heat exchanger and ventilation unit
- Switch off the fuse in the fuse box. Attach a warning sign to the fuse box to prevent accidental reconnection.
- Release the two snap-fit fasteners. Open the front door and the second smaller front door.
- Loosen the screw connection of the partition plate.
- Disconnect the bypass motor plug.
- With the assistance of another person, carefully and evenly (in parallel) pull the heat exchanger unit out of the ventilation unit.
- Carefully clean the heat exchanger with lukewarm water. Allow it to dry completely.
- Wipe off the interior walls of the ventilation unit with a cleaning cloth.
- Carefully slide the fully dried heat exchanger as far as it will go into the housing.
- Reconnect the bypass motor.
- Screw the partition plate back onto to the heat exchanger.
- Close the small front door.
- Close the large front door. Fasten them with both twist/turn catches.
- Switch the mains fuse on.
- Switch on the ventilation unit at the room air control.
- Do not move the ventilation unit.
- Replace damaged seals.
Ensure that the heat exchanger is not bent or damaged when pulling out.
