Cleaning unit

Depending on the level of contamination, we recommend:

Cleaning the heat exchanger and ventilation unit

  1. Switch off the fuse in the fuse box. Attach a warning sign to the fuse box to prevent accidental reconnection.
  2. Release the two snap-fit fasteners. Open the front door and the second smaller front door.
  3. Loosen the screw connection of the partition plate.
  4. Disconnect the bypass motor plug.
  5. With the assistance of another person, carefully and evenly (in parallel) pull the heat exchanger unit out of the ventilation unit.
  6. Carefully clean the heat exchanger with lukewarm water. Allow it to dry completely.
  7. Wipe off the interior walls of the ventilation unit with a cleaning cloth.
  8. Carefully slide the fully dried heat exchanger as far as it will go into the housing.
  9. Reconnect the bypass motor.
  10. Screw the partition plate back onto to the heat exchanger.
  11. Close the small front door.
  12. Close the large front door. Fasten them with both twist/turn catches.
  13. Switch the mains fuse on.
  14. Switch on the ventilation unit at the room air control.

Do not damage sealing strip when pulling out/sliding in the heat exchanger.

  1. Do not move the ventilation unit.
  2. Replace damaged seals.

Ensure that the heat exchanger is not bent or damaged when pulling out.
