Safety instructions for installation
WARNING
- Use protective gloves to prevent cuts caused by sharp-edged housing plates.
- Observe the requirements at the installation site, environmental conditions and technical data of the fan.
- The motor may still be very hot after the overload protection has been triggered or the fan has been switched off → Risk of burning due to hot motor. Note the cooling time. This can be up to 30 minutes, depending on the fan type. Usually, the fan switches back on automatically after cooling down.
- Before working on the fan or removing covers, wait until the fan has come to a standstill → risk of injury when the fan is running.
- When working at heights, use suitable ladders/climbing aids and ensure that they are stable. Ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the unit. The applicable accident prevention regulations must be observed. Assembly areas must be secured against unauthorised entry, falling objects and falling.
- Switch off the fan’s power supply before carrying out any work on it → Risk of injury due to unexpected or automatic start-up. The fan may start up automatically after shutting down in response to an overload, clearing of an impeller blockage or accidental switch-on.
