Extending PP 45 ventilation unit with PP 45 SE sound-absorbing elements

Sound reduction

1x PP 45 SE: 1,5 ... 2 dB(A).
2x PP 45 SE (2nd PP 45 SE turned by 45°): 2.5 ... 5 dB(A).

* If two sound-absorbing elements are installed, we recommend turning them 45° away from each other. This increases the sound insulation effect.

Installing PP 45 SE: Steps 1 – 5

Take PP 45 SE out of the film and open it carefully.
Remove and dispose of core.
Carefully close PP 45 again.

Slide the slide-in module (PP 45 O/ PP 45 K/ PP 45 RC), inside the sleeve, as far as possible towards the exterior wall. NOTICE: Connecting cable must not be installed tautly.

Insert PP 45 SE elements into the wall sleeve. When doing so, guide the connection cable of the slide-in module through PP 45 SE. Then cut PP 45 SE to a suitable length with a knife or scissors.
