General safety instructions
- Read these safety instructions in full. Before installation, also read the enclosed assembly instructions for shell/pre-assembly and/or final assembly and the installation and commissioning instructions available online. For detailed information on operation and settings → Operating instructions on the Internet. Follow the instructions.
- Have the ventilation unit installed, adjusted, commissioned, cleaned, maintained or repaired by qualified personnel only → Qualified personnel can carry out this work safely, recognise dangers and avoid them.
- Use personal protective equipment (protective clothing, safety helmet, protective goggles, etc.) in the event of potential dangers → Observe the applicable safety and accident prevention regulations.
- Perform a function test after completing installation, filter change, maintenance and repair work.
- Clean the ventilation unit regularly, at least every six months → Danger to health due to poor hygiene (allergy, infection, poisoning). Use an original filter of class 'ISO coarse 45%' and adhere to the filter change intervals.
- Modifications and alterations to the unit are not permitted and release the manufacturer from any guarantee and liability.
DANGER
- In the case of subsequent additions or modifications (extractor hood, air-ventilated fireplace, etc.), have the system compatibility of the ventilation system determined/ensured by a planning office → Risk of injury and danger to health in the event of improper operation. If using an exhaust air extractor hood or air-ventilated fireplace, this must be accepted by a regional master chimney sweep.
- The ventilation units and controls are not suitable for outdoor areas → Danger of electric shock/short circuit in the event of water or moisture penetration.
- Only install room air controls or radio switches in wet rooms outside protection zones 0, 1 and 2 → Danger of electric shock, short circuit and damage to units due to moisture penetration.
- Risk of suffocation when handling packaging materials. Keep foil materials and small parts away from children so that they cannot be swallowed. Make sure that children do not play with the packaging materials.
WARNING
- Only install the ventilation unit in accordance with the planning specifications → Improper operation if the ventilation unit is incorrectly or improperly installed → Danger to life or risk of injury if operating conditions are impermissible.
- Before removing the front cover, switch off all supply circuits and secure them against being accidentally switched back on. Position a visible warning sign. Wait until the ventilation unit has come to a standstill.
- Wall sleeves or external covers may only be installed in the entrance area if the entrance area is covered → Risk of injury due to ice forming on the external cover. Ice sheets can fall and cause serious injuries.
ATTENTION
- Insulate the ventilation channels to reduce noise emissions in the ventilation channel (less noise in the ventilation channel and at the exhaust openings, lower heat losses, condensation and noise emissions due to air flows). Use suitable accessories for sound insulation.
- PP 45/RV 2 ventilation units are only suitable for supply air rooms. Operation is not permitted in exhaust air rooms (bathroom, kitchen, toilet or similar rooms).
- Preferably, install PPB 30 ventilation units in exhaust air rooms (bathroom, WC or kitchen with window). Only install the ventilation units in supply air rooms (bedrooms etc.) after consultation with the owner. The continuous, very quiet change of direction of rotation could be perceived as disturbing. If necessary, use sleep mode with ventilation level 0 at night.
