Installation
WARNING
- Observe the requirements at the installation site, environmental conditions and technical data of the centrifugal blower.
- Avoid damage to the connection cables during installation → Danger of short-circuits due to damaged connection cables routed to the outside. Installation only by qualified electrician. Check the connection cables after installing the unit.
- Only lift the centrifugal blower with several persons, especially in case of ceiling installation. Never walk under suspended loads. For heavy units, use a lifting device/lifting equipment suitable for the total weight.
- Before working on the centrifugal blower or removing covers, wait until blower has come to a standstill → risk of injury when the unit is running.
- Install the centrifugal blower only on walls or ceilings with sufficient load-bearing capacity (min. 200 kg/m³ - 300 kg/m³, depending on the weight of the unit) and with sufficiently dimensioned mounting material. The blower vibrates a little. Risk of injury in case of falling unit. Sufficiently dimensioned mounting material is to be provided by the customer. Use vibration dampers for vibration-damped mounting. Observe the minimum strength class of the fixing screws.
- When working at heights, use suitable ladders/climbing aids and ensure that they are stable. Work in pairs and ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the unit. When working at heights (e.g. on the roof), the installation personnel must feel comfortable at such heights and have secure footing → danger to life. The applicable accident prevention regulations must be observed. Assembly areas must be secured against unauthorised entry, falling objects (unsecured tiles) and falling.
- Wear protective gloves, when working with components with sharp edges.
- When performing working overhead, protect your eyes and respiratory tract. If necessary, use personal protective equipment (hard hat/protective goggles etc.).
- The motor may still be hot after switching off the centrifugal blower → risk of burning due to hot motor. Note the cooling time. This can be up to 30 minutes, depending on the unit type.
- Switch off the centrifugal blower’s power supply before carrying out any work on it → Risk of injury due to unexpected or automatic start-up. The centrifugal blower may start up automatically after shutting down in response to an overload, clearing of an impeller blockage or accidental switch-on.
