Functional description
MAICO geniovent.x units make use of the principle of recovering heat and humidity (using special enthalpy heat exchangers), which would otherwise escape outdoors through open windows. The ventilation units direct the warm exhaust air from the room via a cross-counterflow heat exchanger or enthalpy heat exchanger and blow it outside using an outgoing air fan. At the same time, an outside air fan supplies the room with outside air, which flows past the exhaust air in the heat exchanger, thereby heating it. The ventilation unit is constructed such that these two air flows do not mix. In order to reach the desired setpoint temperature, the exhaust air can also bypass the heat exchanger and be fed directly to the outgoing air via the bypass shutter (summer-time, free cooling function). The optional electric supply air heat register can also be used for heating to the desired comfortable supply air temperature. To ensure the air quality in the living space and to protect the system from potential contamination, an exhaust air filter of class ePM10 60% (M5) and an outside air filter of class ePM1 55% (F7) are fitted on the intake side.
