Decentralised supply and exhaust air systems with heat recovery

With decentralised supply and exhaust air systems, the heat recovery takes place via a ceramic heat storage tank. A distinction is made between two operating modes:  In alternating operation (alternating ventilation) the warmth of the exhaust air is temporarily stored and is returned to the residential unit in supply air mode.

In cross-ventilation mode, the exhaust air is conveyed outside without heat recovery. Cross-ventilation mode is suitable for a night-time reduction of the apartment temperature in the summer.
