WR 400

short description

Centralised ventilation unit with very effective heat recovery through cross-counter-flow exchanger, EC motors with constant volumetric flow regulation, interval mode, 80 - 400 m³/h, 4 x DN 160, including RLS 1 WR control unit, DIBT and passive energy house approval, KNX connection possible

Product description

Features

  • Special energy savings due to DC motors with EC technology.
  • With automatic volumetric flow regulation for constant air quantities.
  • Sheet steel, powder coated housing.
  • Colour pearl light grey.
  • Inner coating of heat resistant plastic material (EPP), non-hygroscopic.
  • Simple filter change is possible without tools.
  • 2 x G4 filter, 1 x F7 filter.
  • 4 DN 160 duct connections with double lip seals. For directly connecting up tubular sound absorbers.
  • Summer cassette as accessory.
  • DIBT approval and PH certification
  • Connection to KNX systems possible.

Control unit

  • RLS 1 WR control unit is included in the scope of delivery.
  • Filter change message.
  • Set the 4 ventilation levels using buttons.
  • Fault display.
  • Other control units can be connected in parallel.

Heat exchanger

  • Cross-counterflow plate heat exchanger made of aluminium.
  • The heat exchanger can be removed easily once the front plate has been unscrewed.
  • The heat exchanger can be easily cleaned using water.

Frost protection

  • Guaranteed frost protection ensures that the heat exchanger does not freeze.
  • The frost protection feature switches the supply air fan off when the outgoing air temperature is too low and automatically back on again.
  • Recommendation: Combine units with heat recovery with a brine earth heat exchanger.

Energy-efficient fans

  • 2 centrifugal DC fans, curved to the front. In the supply or exhaust air.
  • 4 ventilation levels:
    • I = Interval / vacation operation for humidity protection
    • 1 = Reduced ventilation
    • 2 = Nominal ventilation
    • 3 = Intensive / party operation
  • The air volume is linearly adjustable.
  • 300-type fans can be easily swapped for 400-type fans.

Mounting instructions

  • Feet for installation.
  • Installation on the wall or a pedestal is required to ensure access to the condensation connection.
  • Housing covers can be unscrewed.
  • Provide sound absorbers on the inlet and outlet sides.

Electrical connection

  • Ready for service.
  • Prepared for connection of sensors.
  • Potential-free contact e.g. for operating display.
  • Central inclusion in KNX/EIB bus possible.

Condensation drain

  • Condensation is drained out at the bottom of the unit. Condensation drain (3/4" hose diameter) to connect up to a siphon.
  • Stable foamed-in condensation tank.

Plus function (summer operation)

  • In eco mode, only the exhaust fan runs, so around 50 % less power is used. Possible with RLS D1 WR digital control.

B1 - operator unit (1) RLS 1 WR

B2 - operator unit (2) RLS 1 WR

Up to 5 RLS 1 WR operator units can be connected to the ventilation unit. (Only if there is no CO2 sensor connected).

The ventilation unit is prepared in the factory for connection to the RLS 1 WR operator unit, i.e. jumper 8 is bridged on control circuit board A1.

W1 - 230 V AC connecting cable

W2 - control cable for operator unit

V - distributor (supplied by the customer)

W3' - connecting cable for an external CO2 sensor (to be supplied by the customer) Connection in the ventilation unit to the "CO2" and "OT" terminals of the control circuit board A1. The CO2 sensor must be activated in the ventilation unit. To do this, bridge jumper 10 (CO2) on control circuit board A1.

WR 300, WR 400 ventilation unit with RLS 1 WR room air control and differential pressure controller

The differential pressure controller P is a safety device which allows a ventilation system to be operated at the same time as an air-ventilated fireplace. The differential pressure controller prevents a ventilation unit connected to this safety device from being operated if the air pressure in the room falls below the outside pressure level. In the event of insufficient pressure, the potential-free relay contact (N/C contact) in the differential pressure controller opens. The fans in the ventilation unit stop and the RLS1WR operator unit is blocked until the relay contact in the pressure controller closes again and the fans start back up again.

Relay contact k is connected in series to the fans' supply voltage for this purpose.

When selecting the differential pressure controller, note the technical data of the switching output (potential-free relay contact k). Minimum switching capacity: 230V AC, 2A.

W3" - connecting cable for differential pressure controller (provided by customer)

The connection between the differential pressure controller and ventilation unit is made with a W3" connecting cable. The potential-free relay contact k of the differential pressure controller P is connected to control circuit board A2 at terminals "N" and "N-". The jumper on terminals "N" and "N-" of control circuit board A2 must be removed first.

WR 300, WR 400 ventilation unit with RLS 1 WR room air control and hygrostat

Connection of hygrostat with potential-free contact. If the potential-free contact in the hygrostat closes due to room dampness, the ventilation unit is set to LS3 regardless of the ventilation level set. Once the dampness has been removed from the room (contact in hygrostat opens), the ventilation unit switches back to the ventilation level previously set.
